The point of this video is to share training ideas and not a slick Parkour clip. This video highlights the importance of training many movements in a circuit, so to improve your vision, flow, foot placement, body rotation, reflexes, sensitivity, endurance, power, cardio & condition the body all at the same time. And to take a break away from training big single moves. It is also important for the Traceur to try circuits 5-10 consecutive times (no resting) knowing that they must keep moving as there is always someone behind them, however be careful and slow down for safety reasons, as you do not want to injure yourself or the person in front, plus you need to keep your focus as you tire. So… Work on your flow at a balanced pace using clean, efficient, controlled technique that is within your abilities. And if you land wrong, fall off etc, you should do a forfeit, such as 20 squats or 20 push-ups or 10 wall climbs etc… Train well! Zeno [Gasgow Parkour]

I bet you guys look so funny just in the middle of the city doing this. You guys are amazing though. I love the wall climbs. You guys do that “kick up” thing great. The thing where you kick your leg up behind you to get on top of the wall after the climb up.

This is a few parkour TRICK not a set of free run. Besides the real traning for parkour are the workouts and cardio.

How I interpreted what you said about liking deep jumps and jumping from roof to roof, that is not what parkour and free running is about.
There is a larger physical and mental philosophy of balance and concentration, and at the same time testing your body’s limit, and in truth, heights are not neccissarily reconmended, nor is it safe.
In the end it is all about perspective. how you and I see it may be completely different things.

@shadyusafa that´s what I wrote.

roof jumping is FAR from what parkour is.
February 26th, 2010 at 2:41 am
you don´t show many deep jumps and that´s what I like. Parkour is more as jumping from roof to roof
nice vid.

just practice run and jumps at ground level on the grass, and practice your rolls.
Always remember to jump outwards and down and never drop straight down then into a roll.
Learn to roll on the grass both left and side sides as well as backwards.
Practice at mastering the rolls it will become a reflex to more you practice.
Remember to turn the shoulder inwards into the direction you want to roll, you know the rest.

It is only stupid and dangerous, if you do not know what you are doing, or what your abilities are. Also if you try too much too soon or not checking your environment for loose, broken, slippy or peircing surfaces.
Start off with small jumps and conqueor the ground level first before moving onto bigger and higher obstacles.
The most important advice is get strong first, learn how to land properly.

kinda looks like fun, but also stupid and dangerous.
