What weight lifting/exercise routine should I follow as a beginner?
I am 6′ and 200lbs. I am joining a gym and want to know what’s best for exercise and weight lifting for just normal toning up and maybe some belly loss. The gym has treadmills, elipticals, etc and weight area that I know nothing about…Any help in both or either is appreciated! Including how often a week to do it and any rotations. I’ve never worked out before, but am generally not weak.

Home bodybuilding workout: hammer curls exercise
Video clip illustrating proper form of the hammer curl exercise for biceps. The key in this arm exercise is a slow and controlled motion without swinging or jerking. Make sure to keep your elbows pinned at your sides and dont allow them to move forward or backward. As withany dumbbell exercise, form is key if you want to maximize your muscle building efforts and minimize the chance of injury. Don’t use too much weight, if you can’t do the exercise slowly then you need to go lighter. Count aloud “one onethousand, two onethousand, three onethousand” on the way up and the way down, if you cant do this on this exercise then you are using too much weight. The reason this exercise method maximizes your muscle growth is because it confines the motion to the muscle you are trying to work out, if your body squirms, swings, and kicks, all you are doing is taking the focus away from the muscle you are trying to exercise. Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn’t have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. A cheap dumbbell set from a garage sale or walmart is all it takes to get started with your home workouts. Parkour Circuit Training
The point of this video is to share training ideas and not a slick Parkour clip. This video highlights the importance of training many movements in a circuit, so to improve your vision, flow, foot placement, body rotation, reflexes, sensitivity, endurance, power, cardio & condition the body all at the same time. And to take a break away from training big single moves. It is also important for the Traceur to try circuits 5-10 consecutive times (no resting) knowing that they must keep moving as there is always someone behind them, however be careful and slow down for safety reasons, as you do not want to injure yourself or the person in front, plus you need to keep your focus as you tire. So… Work on your flow at a balanced pace using clean, efficient, controlled technique that is within your abilities. And if you land wrong, fall off etc, you should do a forfeit, such as 20 squats or 20 push-ups or 10 wall climbs etc… Train well! Zeno [Gasgow Parkour]
